Born at the beginning of the century from Valentina’s passion for nature, this company aims to promote and preserve the territory of the Alta Val di Cecina through its agricultural and livestock resources. The whole project is carried out with respect for the ecosystem and the animals that inhabit it, with an eye to endangered species and varieties that have characterized the culture and tradition of this particular area of Tuscany over the years.
Raising breeds in purity
The native horses of Monterufoli were the first guests of the farm, ponies of great temperament, both saddle and draft, originating precisely from the nearby reserve of the same name. Since then, this place has become a welcoming home for various and particular breeds that are grown with love in these hills. An example is the docile and rustic donkey Amiatino, originally from Monte Amiata, but also the Maremmano horse – suitable for both work in the fields and sports, especially in obstacle jumping – the Pomarancina sheep and the Livorno hen. The animals are bred for educational purposes, especially to offer experiences that involve the little ones in the discovery of this world.

The enhancement of a territory consists in making it known and appreciated through its resources. At the farm are cultivated many varieties such as the Ramate apple of the horns, the A8 and Alessandrino apricot, the quince peach of Poggio and Rosano, the Maglianese and Verdacchia plum, the grandfather and apple tree pear and the Heart cherry of Nello, Marchiano and Ulignano. All aiming to the recovery of tradition and the preservation of the ancient excellence of the territory.
A holiday in Tuscany in contact with animals
Fattoria di Valentina is also the ideal place to spend an exciting holiday in close contact with animals and country life. At the table, guests can discover the territory through farm and local products and, by way of educational farm, have the opportunity to approach the ancient crafts such as the production of wicker baskets or the processing of wool. A small paradise where you can live and enjoy unique moments in perfect symbiosis with the territory and the nature that characterizes it.
