Forcella Mostaccin is located in the municipality of Maser and is a pass that connects the two sides of the Asolani hills. A peaceful place encircled by woods, where you can spend hours in tranquility. From here there are several trails that you can take on for relaxing walks. The most important is that of the two Fortresses that connects Asolo to Cornuda, but equally interesting is also the one leading to the outposts and trenches of the First World War or to the Church of San Giorgio, from where you can admire a splendid panorama.<\/span><\/p>\n

The name originates from that of the family that lived in the only existing building in these pleasant woods, an abandoned stone rustic edifice that has now become the symbol of the area.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cycling tours<\/strong>
\nForcella Mostaccin is a popular destination for regional cyclists and tourists who spend their cycling holidays here. <\/span>It is a relatively demanding climb, almost 3 kilometers in length and averaging 7% but pitching up to 16%.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2016 this hill was the protagonist of the Giro d\u2019Italia stage 11 from Modena to Asolo \u2013 won then by Diego Ulissi \u2013 where it was ranked as a fourth-category climb.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Testimonies of the Great War<\/strong>
\nLike other reliefs of the Asolani hills, Forcella Mostaccin was also a privileged viewpoint, from where Italian troops could control and study the positioning of the Austro-Hungarian lines arranged along the Po River, from the Fener Bridge to Nervesa della Battaglia. A walk through these woods, guided by various information signs, allows you to understand the strategic importance of these places, but also gives you the opportunity to see the remains of the outposts and shelters used by the soldiers.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
