This brewery produces its beers in the heart of Tuscany using geothermal steam and the natural boraciferous fumaroles, the primary source of energy, typical of this suggestive territory.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Where the idea of \u200b\u200busing geothermal energy for the production of beer comes from.<br \/>\n<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vapori di Birra was born in 2013, inspired by the fascinating geothermal characteristics of what is called the &#8220;Devil&#8217;s Valley&#8221;. The borax fumaroles &#8211; for which this area is known &#8211; are natural high pressure steam emissions coming out from the heart cracks, or artificial perforations, and are exploited to obtain clean and renewable energy. Hence, the idea of \u200b\u200busing this resource for the production of a high quality beer with zero environmental impact.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Geothermal energy and green philosophy<br \/>\n<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The philosophy of Vapori di Birra is based on the love for the territory and on the enhancement of the spontaneous natural resources. The beers are brewed\u00a0 in the heart of the Fumarole Park where the scent of toasted malt blends\u00a0 with the classic smell of sulfur rising\u00a0 directly from the scorching depths of the earth. The production process is completely renewable and takes place through an innovative and ecological system that helps saving 3.3 m3 of natural gas for every hectolitre of beer produced. In addition, it reduces CO2 emissions into the atmosphere by about 5kg.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Furthermore, the kegs used in the preservation of the product are made of Key Keg, a totally eco-friendly material.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last but not least, the company is part of the \u201cFarmers Guardians of the Tuscan Renewable Energy Food Community&#8217;\u201d, an environmental-sustainability-focused association, made of entrepreneurs in collaboration with Slow Food Tuscany,\u00a0 Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity and CoSviG.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Beers produced with geothermal energy<br \/>\n<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The beers produced with the geothermal energy have the charm of artisanship. From the raw materials to the label graphics, down to the smallest detail, everything is taken care of, including the careful tapping process that avoids all\u00a0 kinds\u00a0 of contact with the gas.
