Le Saline di Volterra sono un patrimonio culturale unico. Dagli Etruschi ai Romani, fino al Medioevo, in questi luoghi nel cuore dell\u2019entroterra Toscano si estrae il sale pi\u00f9 puro d\u2019Italia.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

L\u2019affascinante storia delle Saline di Volterra inizia con gli Etruschi, circa tremila anni fa. Furono loro infatti i primi ad estrarre l\u2019oro bianco che emergeva dalle antiche \u201cmoje\u201d, larghe pozzanghere diffuse nel lembo di terra che da Saline di Volterra arrivava fino al mare.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Durante il periodo medioevale nacquero le prime strutture estrattive ma fu il Granduca di Toscana a dare l\u2019impulso decisivo alla produzione del sale attraverso la costruzione di quello che sarebbe diventato uno dei primi villaggi industriali in Italia. Nel 1962 il giovane e visionario architetto Pierluigi Nervi, cambia per sempre l\u2019estetica del luogo, progettando un visionario dal quale far scendere una suggestiva cascata di sale.<\/span><\/p>\n

Oggi lo stabilimento \u00e8 un vero e proprio luogo della memoria dove passato e presente si uniscono, ripercorrendo le storie della salina tramite oggetti, testimonianze ed emozioni.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
